Versailles, Kentucky is located in Woodford County and is considered to be a portion of the Lexington-Fayette Metropolitan Statistical Area. Dreamer: Inspired by a True Story used Versailles as the setting for the movie. The 2010 film about one of Kentucky’s most famous horses, Secretariat, contained a scene that was shot at a church in Versailles. Several locations were used in the 1967 film, The Flim-Flam Man.
